Privacy Policy

Painter Growth OS (“Painter Growth,” “we,” “us”) provides a private business dashboard for painting contractors who work with Painter Growth coaching, hosted at my.paintergrowth.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We built this product to help you run your business — not to monetize your data.
Who this covers
This policy applies to owners, their invited team members, and Painter Growth staff who use the app. It covers the data you enter, the accounts you choose to connect, and the coaching data Painter Growth maintains about your engagement.
What we collect
- Account & business details — your name, email, company name, phone, address, team members, and the goals and business information you enter.
- Coaching data — summaries, commitments, notes, and recordings/transcripts of your Painter Growth coaching calls.
- Financial data — if you connect your bookkeeping (QuickBooks via Ironbooks), we read summary figures such as revenue booked, cash, margin, and receivables to show your numbers.
- Google account data — if you connect Google Calendar, see the dedicated section below.
- Usage data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
Google user data
Connecting Google Calendar is optional and powers our “Time” feature. When you connect it, we request the calendar.events scope and your basic profile email. Specifically:
- We read your calendar events (titles, times, descriptions) to analyze how your week is spent and coach your time against the ideal week for your stage.
- We create or update calendar events only when you explicitly approve a suggested focus block — and you can move or delete it anytime.
- We use your Google account email only to identify which calendar you connected and match it to your team.
We do not read, send, or modify your Gmail; we never email anyone on your behalf; and we never post or share your calendar with anyone outside your own company workspace.
Painter Growth’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security or legal reasons, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
How we use your data
- Deliver the features you use — dashboards, coaching, training, time analysis, and brand audits.
- Generate AI insights and recommendations tailored to your business.
- Operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
AI processing
Some features use AI (including Anthropic’s Claude and, for brand audits, live web search) to summarize and analyze your data and produce recommendations. Data is sent to these providers solely to generate your results and is not used by us or them to train models.
How we share data
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the product, under contracts that limit their use to that purpose: Supabase (database & auth), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI), Google (calendar, when connected), Stripe (billing), and Resend (transactional email). Your company’s data is visible to members of your own workspace and to your Painter Growth coach.
Retention & your choices
- Disconnect anytime — remove a connected calendar or bookkeeping account from within the app; we stop accessing it and delete cached data for it.
- Revoke Google access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete your data — email us and we’ll delete your account data, subject to any legal retention requirements.
We keep data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Sensitive credentials (such as Google tokens) are stored server-side and are never exposed to your browser or other companies. Access is restricted to your own workspace.
